Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is the treatment for cancer involving the use of drugs to kill cancer cells. Cancer chemotherapy may consist of single drugs or a combination of drugs. The drugs can be administered through a vein, injected into a body cavity, or delivered orally in the form of a pill.

Biotherapy

Biological therapy is a type of treatment that uses the body's own immune system to facilitate the killing of cancer cells. Types of biologics include interferon, interleukin, monoclonal antibodies, colony stimulating factors, and vaccines.

Hormone Therapy

Hormones are naturally occurring substances in the body that stimulate the growth of hormone sensitive tissues such as those in the breast or prostate. Drugs that block hormone production or change the way hormones work are used to fight some cancers.

Infusion Center

We are extremely proud of our Infusion Center. Comfortable chairs and private televisions enable patients to receive treatment in a pleasant environment. Patients who prefer privacy can receive treatment in a room which also features a television. Extra seating is provided for family members or caregivers.

Palliative care is symptom management that is intended to relieve but not cure. These services may include hospice care.

PET/CT Scanner

PET stands for Positron Emission Tomography. Scanner technology fuses a PET image with a CT scan which results in a PET/CT. With the information from such a scan, we can direct changes in therapy as well as more precisely target cancerous masses for radiation therapy.

Radiation Therapy

Our fixed linear accelerator provides for the latest in radiation therapy including respiratory gating, IMRT, and IORT. The accelerator can deliver the right amount of radiation with pinpoint precision to minimize damage to healthy tissue and to maximize effectiveness of treatment.

Satellite Offices
